UNIT II AXIALLY LOADED PILES AND PILE GROUPS 10
Allowable load evaluation of piles and pile groups – Static method – cohesive –
cohesionless soil – time effects – Dynamic method – pile driving formulae – Wave
equation application – modeling – theoretical analysis – Interpretation of field test
results and pile load test results – Settlement of Piles and Pile groups.
UNIT III LATERAL AND UPLIFT LOAD EVALUATION 10
Piles subjected to Lateral loads – Broms method, elastic –p-y curve analyses –
Batter piles – response to moment – pile subjected to uplift loads – load –deformation
