AIM
To teach the students the technology of wet processing
OBJECTIVES
To teach the students the various bleaching, dying, printing and finishing technology for
the various fabrics and garments.
1. Identification of fibres- Polyester/Cotton, Polyester/Viscose & Cotton/Viscose.
2. Bleaching of cotton using Hypochlorites.
3. Bleaching of cotton using Hydrogen peroxide.
4. Dyeing of cotton with Direct dyes.
5. Dyeing of cotton with Reactive dyes.
6. Dyeing of cotton with Vat dyes.
7. Dyeing of Polyester using carrier.
8. Dyeing of Knitted Fabric.
9. Determination of Fastness to washing after dyeing.
10. Determination of Shrinkage for woven fabrics/garments.
11. Discharge style- printing on cotton.
12. Resist style- printing on cotton.
13. Computer aided color matching.
