Anna University Workshops 2013 NETWORK SIMULATION TOOLS MARCH 1-2, 2013

OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this two days workshop is to provide a platform where the
students, research scholars and faculty can get hands on training in wired and
wireless network simulation tools, Ns-2 and QUALNET.
TOPICS TO BE COVERED:
Ns-2 Installation in Linux
Overview of Ns-2
Writing Tcl scripts
Making file changes
Modifying existing /Creating new protocols
Trace file Analysis
QUALNET Introduction
Network Scenario Creation
Protocol Implementation and Analysis
PROGRAMME FEE:
UG / PG Students : Rs. 500 /=
Research Scholars/Faculty : Rs. 1000 /=
REGISTRATION:
The completed registration form along with Demand Draft should be submitted to
The Coordinator, Workshop on Network Simulation Tools, not later than
20.2.2013. Selection intimation will be sent by email. There are only limited seats
and hence participants will be selected on FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED
basis. Applications without DD will not be entertained.
DD to be drawn in favour of : “The Director, CPDE, Anna University,
Chennai”, payable at Chennai.
Note: Please walk‐in with your laptop. The laptop should have Linux
Operating system (Fedora version15 and above).
IMPORTANT DATES:
Last date for submission of registration form : 20.2.2013
Selection intimation to participants through email : 22.2.2103
