UNIT I SOLAR RADIATION AND COLLECTORS 9
Solar angles - day length, angle of incidence on tilted surface - Sunpath diagrams - shadow determination - extraterrestrial characteristics - measurement and estimation on horizontal and tilted surfaces - flat plate collector thermal analysis - heat capacity effect - testing methods-evacuated tubular collectors - concentrator collectors – classification - design and performance parameters - tracking systems - compound

UNIT II APPLICATIONS OF SOLAR THERMAL TECHNOLOGY 9
