growth Determination of Kinetic coefficients for organics removal – Biodegradability
assessment -selection of process- reactors-batch-continuous type-kinetics
UNIT II DESIGN OF AEROBIC TREATMENT SYSTEMS 10
Design of sewage treatment plant units –Activated Sludge process and variations,
Sequencing Batch reactors, Membrane Biological Reactors-Trickling Filters-Bio Tower-
RBC-Moving Bed Reactors-fluidized bed reactors, aerated lagoons, waste stabilization
ponds – nutrient removal systems – natural treatment systems, constructed wet land –
Disinfectant – disposal options – reclamation and reuse – Flow charts, layout, hydraulic
profile, recent trends.
UNIT III ANAEROBIC TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER 10
