OBJECTIVE
The objective of the project work is to enable the students to work in convenient groups of not
more than four members in a group on a project involving theoretical and experimental studies
related to Civil Engineering. Every Project Work shall have a Guide who is a member of the
faculty of Civil Engineering of the college where the student is registered. The hours allotted for
this course shall be utilized by the students to receive directions from the Guide, on library
reading, laboratory work, computer analysis or field work and also to present in periodical
seminars the progress made in the project.
Each student shall finally produce a comprehensive report covering background information,
literature Survey, problem statement, Project work details and conclusions.
This experience of project work shall help the student in expanding his / her knowledge base
and also provide opportunity to utilise the creative ability and inference capability.

EVALUATION PROCEDURE
The method of evaluation will be as follows:
1. Internal Marks : 20 marks
(decided by conducting 3 reviews by the guide appointed by the
Institution)
2. Evaluation of Project Report : 30 marks
(Evaluated by the external examiner appointed the University).
Every student belonging to the same group gets the same mark
3. Viva voce examination : 50 marks
(evaluated by the internal examiner appointed by the HOD with the

Many students have commented results will be after 8th march (After convocation) or in 3rd week. Every thing seems to be a rumor.

If it is announced after 8th  march only 60 days for exams. If it is announced in the 3rd week only 53 days are there for exams.

Anna University may opt for two options (Not official Information) First one - Post pone the May/June 2013 Exams little more. Second one - Publishing the result as soon as possible.


Delaying the result will lead to revaluation result delay, Exam fees payment, hall ticket will all subjects, etc..,

A special thanks for them. Also one student is requesting not to announce the result on feb 14th he also gave the reason. Announcing Anna University result is solely in the hands of Anna University. We can only Predict, but Each time we cannot be 100% sure.

Study of basic characteristics of materials used for interior fitouts and finishes
To study colour, texture, reflective index, and inherent property of material which leads itself to
quality in finish and details
Specific usage of appropriate furnish materials in interior fitouts – laminates, plywood boards,
veneer in basic flitch on mounted forms – glass, metal, gypsum, natural and engraved marbles
and stares.

Selection of materials - based on evaluation of finishes for floor, wall ceiling, fixtures, furniture

Aspects of function, durability, maintainability, safety / health and cost factors, inclusivity
(sustainable, green, energy efficient, eco friendly) of the selection of materials.
